goodbye bonneville

We lost a family member. Well, we didn't actually lose her. We had to let her go. With the addition of the minivan, it meant that we needed to get rid of one of our other vehicles. Unfortunately for Eric, it meant his beloved Bonneville. It is older and has more miles than our other car, which is why it was next in line to leave.

He got this Bonneville the year that we were dating. He had a green one prior, which is the car that he had when we met. He has an affinity for them and because Pontiac no longer makes them, this is the end of an era.

We have a lot of memories driving her over the last 6 years. We drove it on our wedding day, to visit Eric's parent's, to Ohio, to church, around town with Edmund. It's always a bit sad to see something like a car go since it can hold a lot of memories, but it is also a reminder that the things of this world are never meant to last.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. Matthew 6: 19

Lucky for us though, we sold it to our friends, so we know that for a few more years she will have a good home.
