Clara Rose is three months old. She is our bright, brown eyed, smiley baby girl and we have enjoyed watching her grow this past month.

Clara's looking more and more like a girl. Her eye lashes have started to become longer and fuller. Her cheeks have become round and rosy. Her hair is starting to grow in thicker and it is slowly getting longer. She is growing like a weed and has grown out of many of her three month clothes. Mom has pulled out some of her 6 month clothes. They are a little big on her, but not too much.
As far as daily life, Clara has started getting on more of a schedule. It makes it easier to anticipate her needs and to plan the day a little more. She typically wakes up when mom wakes her up or she will sleep until around 8 am. Mom has to wake her up on preschool days so that she is fed before we head out the door. She then eats twice and then goes back down for a nap around 10 am. She will typically sleep 1 - 2 hours and then she is back up and eats 2-3 times and is back down around 2 pm. She will sleep for around 2 1/2 hours and she is then awake until around 10 pm. She cluster feeds all night off and on until she falls asleep. She typically eats most in the evenings and is the fussiest because she is awake the longest. She sometimes will take a small catnap, but she is typically up for about 5-6 hours in the evening. After falling asleep, dad snuggles with her downstairs for an hour or so before coming up to bed. Mom wakes her up at 4 am to nurse, mostly to keep up her own milk supply as much as possible. She sleeps for naps in her swing or in her bouncy chair and she sleeps at night in her pack and play next to mom's side of the bed. Going longer between feedings has been a huge blessing as it has given mom more freedom to play with the boys and to get things done around the house, which is pretty much just cleaning and cooking.

Clara loves sleeping on dad. It is probably because he has lots of room on his chest for her and he is nice and warm.

Clara got to go on a few outings this month. She went to her first play date to Ms. Sarah's house. Edmund was in preschool so it made it a bit easier to go with just her and Nathaniel. She slept most of the time in her carrier since she fell asleep on the way over there. She also had her first trips to Home Depot and Target. Mom did it with ALL 3 KIDS! She also got to attend Edmund's preschool Valentine's Day party where she hung out in mom's arms or in the Ergo. Everyone gushed about how sweet she was. It was very noisy, though, so she didn't want to nurse or take a bottle so she went the entire time without eating.
Clara has become increasingly interactive. She loves people. She always has her eyes on the boys and enjoys watching them. She seems to really want to talk to everyone and she looks at you and babbles when you talk to her. She also love smiling and raising her eyebrows. She has learned to self sooth more when she is sleepy and sucks on her left thumb. She is getting stronger and can push her self up with her arms straight when placed on her tummy. She can plank when dad puts her above his head.

This month Clara had her second cold. It only consisted of a runny nose again and some sneezing. It was similar to the cold she had a month ago, and she didn't seem to be too bothered by it. Her nose has only been a little congested. Mom only used the nose freida once.
This has been another month of growth and watching our family love on our littlest member. We are looking forward to many more.
